MSW : (Master of Social Work)  

Course outline/ Specializations Offered:

Social work course imparts education in four different specializations at post graduation level. The specialization are

Group A: Human resource management (HRM)

Group B: Urban and Rural Community Development (URCD)

Group D: Family and Child welfare (FCW)

Group E: Medical and Psychiatric Social Work (MPSW)

While in MSW Part-I the course offers education in foundation subjects, for MSW Part-II the course offers specialization based instruction to the students.

Course Duration:

Master of Social Work is full time post graduate course. The duration is two years consisting of four terms.

Medium of Instruction:

The medium of instruction and examination is English as per the Solapur University rules.

Eligibility for Admission to the course::

Any graduate of any recognized university in India is eligible for admission  to the course . The graduate in Bachelor of Social work (BSW),Arts(BA) and Home Science will be given preference.  Candidates deputed by any NGO and candidates from developmental field will also be given the preference

Application procedure:

Application for admission to the course can be made in the prescribed form available in the college office. The copy of prospectus and application form is issue by the office.

Candidates are required to furnish all the details in the application form, failing which the application will summarily be rejected. The applications received after the due date will not be entertained. The course is full time. Candidate will not be allowed to pursue any employment during the course. The employed students should not apply as it goes against the provision of the course. The candidates will have to appear for the whole selection process at their cost.
