Alumni Association of WCAS

The institute has a long track record of successfully developing students for their careers and the Alumni of the college have acquired great success in their careers as Teacher, Government servant, Social worker, IT Sector, etc. in and outside the country across various industries, public and private sector. The Alumni of college have credited the college for laying the strong foundation for their careers. To assemble these prestigious Alumni from more than 50 various batches on a common platform, the college has formed an Alumni Association named ‘Alumni Association of WCAS'. This association was formed in the year 2012 and has conducted various activities like expert lecture interaction, Mentor ship to current batches, Placement Opportunities, etc. However, the association is now a registered body as a Trust named ‘Alumni Association of WCS’ with the Assistant Charity Commissioner, Solapur with registration no. F-24142 and MAHA / 316 / 2012 dtd. 31/07/2012. The Trust has laid the following objectives that it intends to achieve in coordination with the institute.

1. To organize Alumni Meets for exchange of knowledge and experience with the current students.
2. To organize seminars, workshops, Expert Lectures for the current students with the help of alumni.
3. To provide platform for Industry interaction with the Education Institute – the Alma Mater in various forms like Industrial Visits, Industry Expert Visits, Lectures and Workshops, etc.
4. To Undertake any such activity to develop the required level of bonding and belongings amongst the Trust and the Alma Mater with the common objective of developing the Current students of the Alma-mater to make them Professionally Ready to achieve successful careers.
5. To organize various curriculum streams such as quizzes, debates, elocution, which provide a platform for students to showcase their talent and scope for professional development. This would be organized with the help of current students of the institution i.e. sponsorship of the Alumni Association and implementation by the current students.
6. To undertake social activities in association or with the help of current students to provide them the exposure to social problems and to inculcate social responsibility among the students.
7. To organize blood donation camps, social awareness campaigns through road shows, rallies, tree plantations, collection and donations of educational material, food grains, clothes from the society to the under-privileged and needy sections of the society, bicycle for poor students, to provide financial assistance in the form of earn and learn scheme, etc.
8. To organize career development workshops and job fairs for the aspiring youngsters.
9. To do all types of educational functions
10. To provide financial and educational assistance to poor and promising student.
11. To organize various sports activities and coaching camps to give training of exercise and yoga.

The Principal, Walchand College of Arts and Science, Solapur shall be the Ex-Officio President of the association. Anyone who is life member of the Alumni association of WCAS from Walchand College of Arts and Science, Solapur is eligible to be the member of the association.   The current Office Bearers of the association are as under :       Charity Commissioner committee for Alumni Association WCAS
